To use Voltaren Emulgel Back & Muscle Pain, stand on one side of the active surface with the tip down. Avoid rubbing the gel onto the skin and applying it directly to the skin.
Use Voltaren Emulgel Back & Muscle Pain for for a longer time than is generally the case with diclofenac rubs. Voltaren Emulgel Back & Muscle Pain works for up to 12 hours. Do not use for more than 12 hours. It is important to continue applying the gel even if the pain appears to lessen, and do not use more for longer than is needed.
Do not wash the gel for at least 48 hours after applying the gel.

I was told to stop taking Voltaren after having a discussion with my local GP about it. Now I’m trying to get back to work and the pain and swelling in my hands, knees, and ankles are bothering me. When I took the med for a year, I felt much better. However, now I’ve been taking it for 4 months without feeling any improvement. It was really bad. The only thing that worked was to stop taking the medicine for a year. I didn’t want to take my doctor to stop me from taking it for another year. I don’t know if this is good news or bad news.
I am still very upset that it is causing my pain and swelling. I am just looking for an alternative medication that doesn’t have any side effects. My GP suggested me to go back to work and try something else because I don’t want to be stuck in a constant pain. I am hoping it will be worth it.
The only way I can get back to my normal activities is to stop using it and start taking it. The med will do nothing to help me and if I do decide to stop, it will do nothing to help me. I am trying to get back to my normal activities. Any help would be appreciated.

Just to make sure you are doing ok, I will talk to my doctor before I start taking the drug. I feel fine but I am concerned about the swelling and pain. I am not sure if it is a good idea or not.

If it is okay, it could be better for you. You should try to take it with the pain medicine and ask your doctor or pharmacist if it will work for you. I will give you a full list of medicines and see how you are feeling.
